Certificates and approvals

TÜV Austria certificate1

One of Europe’s most rigorous certifications. It confirms strength tests, quality and legal use of the wheel.

KBA number2

Official German road approval. A permanently stamped number confirms the wheel is cleared for the DACH market.

Production to IATF 169493

The global quality standard used by OEM manufacturers. It means process control, batch traceability and repeatable quality.

JWL certificate4

The mandatory Japanese standard for alloy wheels. It confirms strength, fatigue and impact tests for intensive use.

VIA certificate5

Independent Japanese laboratory inspection. The wheel was physically tested externally, not only declared by the manufacturer.

Testing to EN ISO/IEC 170256

The international standard for testing laboratories. It guarantees load and strength tests were done in an accredited facility.

Certified load rating7

A load rating confirmed in strength tests. Depending on size it can reach 850 kg per wheel, including SUVs and EVs.

  1. TÜV Austria is one of the most rigorous European certification bodies. The TÜV Austria mark confirms that the wheel has passed demanding strength, fatigue and load tests and meets European safety standards. For the user this means independently verified quality, legal use and safety in everyday driving, including on heavier vehicles.
  2. The KBA number issued by Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt is official confirmation that the wheel is approved for use on the German market. A permanently stamped number means the product is registered in the German type-approval system and meets its technical regulations. KBA approval is legal certainty, simpler registration procedures and confidence in compliance with strict DACH standards.
  3. IATF 16949 is the most demanding global quality-management standard in the automotive industry. Production to this standard means strict process control, full batch traceability and rigorous quality procedures also used by OEM manufacturers. For the customer this is confidence in repeatable quality and the highest production standards.
  4. JWL (Japan Light Alloy Wheel) is the mandatory Japanese standard for alloy wheels, confirming compliance with rigorous strength, fatigue and impact tests. The JWL mark on a wheel means the product meets Japanese market technical requirements and was designed for intensive use and high dynamic loads.
  5. Vehicle Inspection Association (VIA) is an independent Japanese organisation that tests automotive components. The VIA mark confirms that the wheel was physically tested in an external laboratory and meets rigorous strength standards. Unlike declarative JWL, VIA means physical tests and independent quality verification.
  6. EN ISO/IEC 17025 is the international standard for the competence of testing laboratories. If a wheel has been tested to this standard, the tests were carried out in an accredited facility and the results are repeatable and reliable. This guarantees that load and strength parameters have been confirmed in the laboratory, not merely declared by the manufacturer.
  7. Every wheel has a defined and tested load rating, confirmed by strength tests. Depending on size it can reach as much as 850 kg per wheel, allowing safe use on heavier SUVs and electric vehicles. A certified load rating is real safety under high loads and dynamic driving.

Production method

Flow Forming technology

An innovative production method that sits between traditional casting and costly forging. The process starts with a standard cast wheel blank, which is heated and spun at high speed. Rollers then stretch and roll the aluminium under huge pressure into the final shape. This changes the metal’s microstructure, strengthening the barrel and allowing a thinner wall. The result is a wheel that is clearly lighter, stronger and more elastic than a standard alloy, at a more accessible price than a fully forged wheel.

Flow Forming also appears as Flow Forged, Rotary Forged, Spin Forged, Rim Rolling Technology and Flow Cast, depending on the manufacturer’s naming.

  • More strength at lower weightHot rolling densifies the aluminium in the wheel barrel. The rim resists impacts and deformation better, while weighing substantially less.
  • The right price-to-quality balanceFlow Forming is the automotive middle ground: an advanced wheel close to exclusive forged performance, at a far more accessible price.
  • Better dynamics and steeringA lighter wheel means less unsprung mass, which eases the suspension and brakes. You get a quicker throttle response, stronger braking and more precision in corners.
TPMS system

Tyre pressure monitoring system

TPMS system

Modern alloy wheels are fully prepared for tyre-pressure monitoring (TPMS). The rim has a valve seat for a safe, sealed fit of rubber- and metal-stem sensors, so you can move OEM sensors from the previous wheel set or fit new programmable universal sensors such as CUB TPMS.

  • Full compatibility with OEM and universal sensors1
  • Safe, sealed fitment2
  • Ready for current automotive standards3
  1. The wheels work with factory TPMS systems used by most European and Asian brands, including original OEM sensors and programmable replacements such as CUB TPMS.
  2. A correctly shaped valve seat lets the seal sit properly and reduces the risk of pressure loss. A stable sensor mount cuts vibration and protects the unit.
  3. TPMS is mandatory on new cars registered in the EU. Wheels prepared for pressure sensors keep the set compliant and avoid system errors after fitting.

H2 tyre mounting profile

1The wheel uses an H2 (double hump) mounting profile for better tyre security on the rim. Two shaped safety humps help stop the tyre coming off in a sudden pressure loss or during hard cornering.

2H2 (Double Hump) meets ETRTO standards and gives modern tyres the seating stability they need. It is the technical minimum for Run Flat tyres, keeping a seal and safe everyday use.

  1. 1Important technical noteH2 is compatible with Run Flat, but check the tyre maker’s guidance before fitting. For some brands (including specific OE homologations), EH2 or EH2+ rims may be recommended to use the tyre’s emergency mode fully. Run Flat tyres on H2 wheels also require a working TPMS system.
  2. 2ETRTOETRTO (European Tyre and Rim Technical Organisation) sets tyre and rim dimensions so they fit, mount and operate safely together.

What’s Included

4x Centre caps with manufacturer logo

A set of four centre caps with the Seventy9 logo is an elegant finish for every wheel. Precisely made from weather-resistant materials, with a Plug & Play fit, they install quickly and stay looking sharp.

Wheel Installation Kit123

The installation kit includes four alloy-wheel valves and hub-centric rings. Everything is selected for the vehicle and the new wheels.

  1. The valves are made from durable, corrosion-resistant materials. A sealing system holds tyre pressure, and a cap keeps out moisture and dirt.
  2. Four hub-centric rings match the wheel centre bore to the hub, preventing steering-wheel vibration.
  3. Centering rings, bolts and nuts are added only when required for a correct fit and when the vehicle’s OEM kit does not match the wheels.

Warranty

All Seventy9 wheels have a 2-year manufacturer warranty covering build quality and material durability.

  • 24-month manufacturer cover
  • Structural and material defects1
  • Replacement with a new wheel2
  • Purchase-value refund3
